29 - 7

(HT 0-0)

Old Crossleyans RUFC
Old Brodleians 27 – 7 Old Crossleyans 1XV
The Old Brodleians claimed local bragging rights over their long-time rivals, Old Crossleyans, securing the maximum five points in a dominant performance. Meanwhile, the Crocs, fresh off a stirring victory against Moortown last week, were unable to earn any points from the derby at Woodhead.
Although the encounter was closely contested at times, reminiscent of the tight 30-24 victory for Old Brodleians over Old Crossleyans back in September, the Brods proved to be the more clinical side, with many of their players having come through the club's junior ranks.
Three first-half tries for the Brods, two of which were converted, left the scoreline at 19-0 at the break.
After the Old Brodleians openside flanker was yellow-carded around the hour mark, Harry Drennan capitalized on the numerical advantage, crashing over the line from close range. Arran Brook added the extras to make the score 24-7.
As the day turned to night, the Brods sealed the win with a penalty right on the final whistle finalising the score at 27-7.
News of Doncaster Phoenix's victory over Malton & Norton further compounded the Crocs' woes, dropping them to second from bottom in the league standings.
