It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of one of our Vice Presidents John Eastwood.
John a former schoolmaster contributed so much to local sport, refereeing rugby union games in the winter and in summer swapping the shirt and shorts for a white coat by umpiring in the Halifax Cricket League.
He was a popular gentleman, noted for his many tales and quick humorous wit.
Our sincerest condolences go to his family and friends.
Funeral will take place on Friday 1st May at 11.15am at Elland Crematorium and afterwards at Old Crossleyans RUFC.
