Wednesday's weekly junior roundup

Last Saturday saw our U7s and U8s head down the road to Old Rishworthians for a curtain raiser before their 1st team against Leo's. The U7s are definitely finding their feet and growing in confidence every week and U8s are showing that all the hard work is paying off with a great team display.
The U10 team took on Huddersfield Laund Hill in an early kick off on Sunday. From the outset the young Crocs showed that all their hard work in training was paying off, with their handling in attack combined with their defensive hard work, particularly in the rucks, proving the difference between the two teams. A great all round team performance with every player making valuable contributions.
The U13s hosted a big set of players from Wath but showed much greater skill and experience. The Wath players never gave up and the game was made more competitive when our Crocs dropped numbers to even it up. Great attitude shown by all the players and coaches.
The U14s took on a determined Keighley side in R1 of the Yorkshire cup. Keighley showed fantastic rugby spirit and never gave in, but Crocs defence was unbreakable. Some fantastic tries resulting in a convincing victory for Crocs as they progress to the next round.
The U16 girls played some nice flowing rugby against a much bigger West Park Leeds side. It was a great effort for a team that comprises largely of last years u14s and even better that they came away with a 22-27 win.
The U18 girls teamed up with Yarnbury to welcome Thorne Hills. Crocs started slow as they got used to their new teammates and showed signs of match rustiness in the first half. The second half saw a much more composed performance and laid a good platform to build the rest of the season on.
Well done to all the sides involved.
This Sunday see the following fixtures, all at home except the U16 girls
U7s - West Leeds - 10.30am kick off
U8s - West Leeds - 10.30am kick off
U10s - West Leeds - 9am kick off
U14 - Otley - 11am kick off
U16 Girls - Littleborough in the National Cup - 12.45pm kick off
U18 Girls - Sandal in the Yorkshire Cup - 1.30pm kick off
Good luck to all the teams playing
