Wednesday's Weekly Junior Roundup
Last week the minis took on our friends from down the hill, Old Rishworthians and the U14 and U16 girls were also in action.
Match summaries below.
The U7s enjoyed a record number of players on Sunday with a derby at home. Welcoming some new faces with their first taste of rugby was great to see.
Another good team performance from the U8s 😀 Everyone was passing during play more every game and looking for gaps when making attacking runs. The big success though is the confidence all of the players are showing when playing and in addition how well they are working together as a team which great to see 😀 Croc of the week 🐊 = Tess, for some fantastic attacking runs and good tackling. Well done Tess
The newly formed Crocs U9's managed to field a full strength team to face local rivals Old Rishworthians. Despite missing some key players their was a great team spirit and they all worked hard until the final whistle. There is a feeling amongst players, coaches and parents that there is a brilliant team emerging.
Crocs u14s girls teamed up with Rochdale for a home game against Aire/Wharfe. It was an even contest until the closing stages when the experience of the away team showed. It was a good experience for the Crocs girls who were playing there first competitive game of Rugby Union.
U16s National Cup - Old Crossleyans 14 v Keswick 7
Each and everyone of the u16s girls gave 100% to pick up their first win in the National Cup against a very good Keswick side. Ella G scored two tries and Claudia added the conversions.
Tonight the U9s and U10s have still managed to train in our indoor training facility. Great for these wintery months.
This weekend we have a full fixture list.
