Wednesday's Weekly Junior Round Up
Last weekend we had four of our teams whilst the youngest crocs enjoyed a visit from Santa and the Grinch
The u10’s gave debuts to some of their recent recruits in a dominant display against local rivals Brods. The young crocs displayed great attacking rugby and clinical finishing to gain just reward for their recent hard work in training.
Another convincing win for the U14s away at Leeds Corinthians. The forwards showed some real improvement in the scrum providing good ball for the backs. A brilliant individual try for Leo opened the scoring, with others crossing the line including an impressive hat trick for Hasnain.
George was man of the match…but which George was it? all 3 of them deserved it.💪
The u16 girls game on Sunday was called off so opted to travel to cleckeaton on Monday evening in order to keep their momentum going. It was the first time playing an evening game under the lights for many of the girls. A very entertaining game to watch with both sides getting stuck in with Cleckeaton running out narrow winners.
U18 girls travelled to Thorne in the the Yorkshire cup. Crocs arrived in a positive mood having a full xv and subs however Thorne’s speed with the ball and skill at offloading in the tackle proved to be the difference. There were plenty of positives to take into the new year where the girls will be looking to play more frequently to gain much needed match fitness.
Tonight has been the last of the training sessions for 2024, with the U8s opting for electric bowl rather than Broomfield. The U10s had a festive session in the combat room whilst the U9s and U11s, braved the weather.
This Sunday also marks our last outings for 2024 with the U7s, U8s and U10s all taking on Huddersfield Laund Hill away.
We are now looking forward to what 2025 brings for our expanding junior community.
