Wednesday's Weekly Junior Roundup
Last weekend the youngest Crocs braved the weather and headed over to Littleborough, whilst the U13s & U14s took on Huddersfield at home. Match reports below:
Old Crossleyans under 7’s travelled to the picturesque setting of Rakewood Viaiduct on Sunday to play Littleborough . A strong squad performed well in testing conditions. Support play was excellent as was defence against some strong runners . Croc of the week for Beau who score some excellent tries .
Post match pies πŸ₯§ went down a treat with the team afterwards on our first trip over to Lancashire.
What a brilliant game of rugby for the U8s. The players braved the cold πŸ₯Ά and played some good rugby. The amount of passing and offloads we did throughout the match and how well organised the defensive line was, which the players managed themselves, were just some of the highlights πŸ‘ Conditions weren’t easy, but all the players stuck at it and made it very difficult for Littleborough to score thanks to some solid defending. Well done everyone πŸ˜€
Croc of the week = Tess, well done πŸ‘
Storm Darragh didn't deter the U9's who stepped up against a well-drilled Littlebourgh side. With teamwork improving each week through their determination to grow, it's only a matter of time before this team becomes the one to beat in the area.
The u10s braved the weather to take on Littleborough in a hard fought, physical encounter. Both teams played some good attacking rugby with the hosts physicality matched by the young Crocs technical skills.
Another game for the 13s played on Kensington this weekend ,this time hosting Huddersfield RUFC. A good game but one which Crocs ended up well on top of. The effort that Huddersfield put in couldn’t be faulted and the game was played in good spirits with both teams achieving a lot.
U14s came out convincing winners against Huddersfield RUFC. Great work from the forwards resulted in brilliant tries opening with a super long range effort from Leo. Hasnain showed his pace for an impressive score in the second half with Oscar Cooper being alert and ready to pounce with well read interception try to finish.
This weekend we only have some of the Junior teams in action as we are hosting the Christmas Nibble at the club so no games for the minis on Sunday.
The U10s are playing on Saturday against Old Brods as the curtain raiser for the 1st team clash between the two clubs
The U13s are away to Old Rishworthians and the U14s are also away to Leeds Corinthians
The U16 girls are taking on Rotherham away in the Yorkshire cup and the U18 girls are away to Thorne
Good luck to all our teams in action this weekend. Lots going on down at the club, drop us a message to get involved. The future is bright at Broomfield.
