Wednesday's Weekly Junior Roundup
Last Sunday, our minis travelled over to Woodhead Park to play against Old Bodleian's. Match reports below
Old Crocs U7s travelled the short distance to Woodhead park to face Old Brods and Cleckheaton in a triangular tournament . With 2 strong teams the kids enjoyed the early spring sunshine 🌞 to play some attractive rugby . Both in defence and attack the squad has showed tremendous development recently and a real team spirit . Crocs 🐊 of the week to George for his defence and to Rohin on his debut who played brilliantly
Match report
Another brilliant display from the U8s. We ended up playing two Old Brods teams, but in both games the teams were very evenly matched. The pace was super fast and we showed great persistence in attack and resilience in defence. It was the first time we have played eight a side too which the players all adapted to really well 👍
Players of the week:-
🏉 Bhairav, Amana and Joe 👏
Great to see all the players enjoying their rugby so much too 👍
Old Crocs U9’s put on their best performance of the season against Old Brods on Sunday. Combining brilliant individual displays with a fantastic team spirit they scored a number of eye-catching tries. In defence they showed an improved organisation and maturity. A fantastic team effort 🐊 🏉
The u10s travelled to local rivals Old Brods who were much improved from their last outing against the young crocs and put in a spirited display across 4 quarters of competitive rugby with good attacking play and organised defensive work from both teams.
Crocs u13s played Morley for the first time on Sunday.
Morley brought a big squad over with a lot of size but the Crocs came out on top with another solid rugby display.
Focus is now on Pontefract in the semi final of the Yorkshire cup this weekend!
This Sunday the u7s, u8s and u9s are all taking part in the tournament down at Huddersfield RUFC.
Our u10s are away to Bramley Phoenix
Finally our u13s are playing in a massive game, away to Pontefract in the semi final of the Yorkshire cup. Pontefract have had the better of our u13s on their previous two outings this season, so it is set to be a great game. 12pm kick off
It was also great to see loads of new faces at junior training tonight, no experience necessary. Send us a message to get involved. The future is bright at Broomfield 🐊🏉
