Weekly Junior Round Up

Match reports from the outings last Sunday

On a cold and very muddy Sunday morning the Old Crossleyans under 7’s travelled the short distance to our friends and neighbours at Old Rishworthians . The conditions did not seem to faze the young crocs team who played with fantastic enthusiasm and skill throughout . The team is showing real promise with and without the ball with standout performances from all the squad. Croc 🐊 of the week went to Malachy who volunteered to play for Rishies and had an excellent game

A cold and very muddy game of rugby vs Old Rish, but that didn’t stop the u8 players getting stuck in.
It was really tricky for them to grip the tags, but they all adapted well and our tackling got stronger and stronger as the game went on with us regularly stopping Rish. It was great to see the team working together and several times they organised their own attack/ defensive lines (with some super calling by Dougie S πŸ‘)
Shout outs to Tess, Guy, Hugo and Dougie S for some brilliant tackling and Reya, Joe and Dougie D for some excellent attacking runs.
Croc of the week 🐊 = Reya πŸ‘

The U9's faced a physically larger Old Rishworthians side and put up a strong performance, scoring several tries throughout the match.
The players demonstrated respect, discipline, teamwork, enjoyment and sportsmanship from start to finish.
Rex G was named Crocs player of the match for his brave tackling and numerous tries. 🐊

U14s hosted a well organised Beverley side. The lads started well with strong running from Hasnain who almost crossed the line. Good work from the forwards created chances for Leo and Brogan to link up, but the away defence held on. Crocs went behind just before half time, but came back strongly with a great try from Leo. Ernie Hammond made a great break in the second half, but despite a brilliant defensive effort from Noah, Leeland, Joe and the George’s, the away team finished with a try to end an exciting game.

There iare no matches this Sunday as the players and coaches have a week off for half term.

Each age group is growing each week, come down and give it a go. The future is bright at Broomfield πŸŠπŸ‰
