Wednesday's Weekly Junior Roundup
Last Sunday was a busy one down at Broomfield. Match reports below.
Old Crocs 🐊 under 7s welcomed Littleborough and West Leeds to Broomfield on Sunday. With the fields firming up it produced some excellent running rugby enjoyed by the large crowd who gathered to watch . Croc of the week went to Stan who scored some outstanding tries 🐊 πŸ‰
Match report
v West Leeds and Littleborough
We knew we were in for a tough few games today and it was a really good test for the U8s and one in which they excelled πŸ‘
We played both of the West Leeds teams first and the pace was super fast. Crocs got up to speed quickly too and showed great persistence to break through the Leeds defence. Littleborough were next which was a very even battle and one which saw us run in lots of well worked tries as well as defending our line and forcing turnovers. Great teamwork on display today by Crocs too with all players supporting each other on and off the pitch πŸ‘
Croc of the week = Dougie S for a solid all round performance across all 3 games πŸ‘πŸŠ
Opposition top tackler =
Hugo
Old Crocs U9s put on another impressive display on Sunday to show just how far they have progressed this season. They displayed strength and character in defensive against a physical Littleborough side, whilst continuing their explosive attacking form showcasing their ability to score from anywhere on the pitch. Defensive PoM - Broden
Attacking PoM - Rex
U13s ventured over to Lancashire to play against Sedgley park tigers on Sunday. Sedgley were a well organised team who kept the ball and built phases really well. It took a while for crocs to settle into the game but when they did there handling and attacking threat proved too much and in the end the crocs were a bit too good for the tigersπŸŠπŸ―πŸ‰
Crocs under 18 girls lost a great encounter with the last kick of the game. Losing 30-29 to a strong WPL. Some fast flowing rugby and great handling.
This Sunday our U7s-U10s are away at Old Brods in a three way with Cleckheaton with our U13s hosting Morley with an 11am kick off.
The women are home with a 1.30pm kick off.
The kitchen will be open and the bar from 12pm and will be showing the England Vs Italy 6 nations match
Junior training from tots up to u12s is on a Wednesday night at 6pm with u12 and up girls starting at 7pm. The u13 and u14 boys train on a Thursday night. Drop us a message to get involved. The future is bright at Broomfield 🐊
