Weekly Junior Roundup
Last weekend we had a pretty full fixture list, summaries below
🔵U7s ended up training due to a mix up on kick off times, but had great numbers
🟡U8s had a week off, having played Old Rish the week before on the Saturday
⚪️U9s welcomed Brods and were able to split into two teams, with some really competitive rugby being played from both sides. Confidence is growing each week in their first season of contact
🔵U10s hosted Old Rish and what a performance. Every single player put in a tremendous shift, showing exactly what teamwork, determination, and what unity looks like on the field. Well done all.
🟡U11s also hosted Old Rish and a competitive game was enjoyed again by both sides
⚪️U14 boys trained due to most of the lads playing rugby league on Friday night with a few of them carrying knocks
🔵U15 boys travelled to Sheffield Tigers and lost a tightly fought contest against a well drill Sheffield team
🟡U16s girls played Castleford/Hull/Beverley cluster in the Yorkshire Cup winning 22-7. Onto the next round
⚪️U18 girls ran out 41-14 winners in a competitive game against Cleckheaton & Aire/Wharfe thanks to tries from Louisa T , Lil G, Amara C, Charlotte M & Kara J. The coaches were impressed with how the training session had all come together with the girls running into the ball at pace and supporting each other. Victory sets the u18s up for next weeks National Cup game away at Littleborough.
Well done to all the players and coaches. A quiet week this week as we head into half term with most of the teams enjoying a well deserved week off.
The U10s are away to Huddersfield
The U16 girls host Darlington in the cup and as mentioned the U18 girls are away to Littleborough.
Even more new faces down this week at Broomfield, drop us a message to get involved. #
The future is bright at Broomfield
