Last week our minis fixtures succumbed to the elements with the games away at Pontefract being cancelled due to water logged pitches. The U14s and 15s boys managed to host Pontefract on the ever faithful Kensington whilst the U16 girls were away at Wharfedale.

The U14s welcomed Pontefract at home in a game we'd set a target to win pre-season. The lads duely obliged and overcame a game opposition. Having lost to them twice previously this was a huge plus heading into our rd4 cup game. Some great early play to give us a 3 try advantage was almost undone late on by a late Ponte resurgence, however time was against them...and u14s home run continues

U15s hosted a well organised Pontefract side who last season ended Crocs unbeaten run. The opening quarter was evenly matched with the visitors eventually taking the lead following a loose ball at the ruck being picked up and carried almost the length of the field for a nice try for Ponte.

Crocs quick restart followed by a period of pressure eventually led to a converted try for Leo Robinson who’s quick thinking caught the visitors defence napping. As the game progressed, Crocs began to dominate and further tries from Hasnain, David and Joe gave Crocs a comfortable lead. Ponte never gave up and brilliant defence from Joel D and Oscar C ensured Crocs hung on to there lead for another good win.

The u16s girls were too strong for the improving Aire Wharfe side, coming out 17-55 winners

The teams meet again on a Sunday in the Yorkshire Cup at Keighley RUFC.

This Sunday, we are all back in action with the U7, U8, U9, U11s all away at Bradford Salem. The U10s take on Ilkey, whilst the U14s are at Brods and the U15s play Baildon.
